ladies.com.cy (“Ladies.com.cy”, “the platform”, “we” or “us”) is an online advertising platform for adult service providers in Cyprus. The platform allows advertisers to publish their own ads and allows visitors to view those ads.
By visiting or using the platform you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform immediately. Any conflicting or additional terms of users apply only if we have expressly agreed to them in writing. These terms are concluded in English.
Visitors may only access the platform if they are at least 18 years old. By using the platform you confirm that you are an adult under the law of the Republic of Cyprus and of the country from which you access the platform.
Advertisers who publish an ad for erotic or sexual services must also be at least 18 years old, and ads may only concern adults. Ladies.com.cy may at any time request a valid official photo ID to verify age, and reserves the right to refuse or remove ads until proof of age has been provided.
Ladies.com.cy is not responsible for unauthorised use by minors. If we find that a minor is using the platform, the account will be deleted immediately.
Ladies.com.cy is purely an advertising platform and does not act as an intermediary, agency or broker. Ladies.com.cy:
Advertisers are independent adults acting on their own behalf. They decide the content of their ad, their prices and the services they offer, and they alone are responsible and liable for them. Placing a standard ad is free; the only payment Ladies.com.cy may receive is a fee for optional placement features of an ad on the platform.
Advertisers are themselves responsible for complying with the rules that apply to them, in particular Cypriot law (which prohibits, among other things, brothel-keeping, pimping and living off the earnings of another person), the rules on residence and work in Cyprus, and their tax and social insurance obligations. Ads placed by or on behalf of third parties who profit from another person's services are not permitted.
The following applies to registration:
Advertisers can publish ads on the platform free of charge. Ladies.com.cy reserves the right to review ads before publication. There is no entitlement to publication.
Advertisers are fully responsible for the content of their ad and warrant that:
The placement and order of ads on the platform may depend on various factors, including paid options or promotions. No claims can be derived from the placement of an ad.
Ladies.com.cy may request identity verification at any time before an ad is published. This serves the safety of the platform and the fight against human trafficking.
In accordance with Article 14(1) of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (DSA), we explain below the policies, procedures and tools we use to review content on the platform and the role played by automated systems and human review.
When we review. We review ads (a) before publication, (b) on a random basis and on the basis of risk signals after publication, and (c) following a notice submitted through our reporting form or by a competent authority (see section 11).
Automated tools. We use automated filters that check ads, profiles and messages for, among other things: prohibited words and expressions, indications that a person is a minor or is not acting voluntarily, references to competing platforms, duplicate or previously removed ads, and signs of spam, fraud or malware. These filters can prevent publication or flag an ad for closer review.
Human review. An ad is never permanently removed, and an account is never suspended or terminated, solely on the basis of an automated decision: in these cases a member of staff assesses the case. Notices concerning minors, coercion, human trafficking or exploitation are always handled by a person and with priority.
Measures we may take. Depending on the severity, and in proportion to the breach, we may: refuse publication, remove individual parts of an ad (such as a photo or part of the text), temporarily hide or permanently remove an ad, restrict features or visibility, suspend or terminate the account, and report the matter to the competent authorities.
Diligence. We exercise these powers in a diligent, objective, proportionate and non-arbitrary manner, taking into account the rights and legitimate interests of all parties involved, including freedom of expression (Article 14(4) DSA).
Statement of reasons and complaints. If an ad or account is restricted, the advertiser concerned receives a statement of reasons in accordance with Article 17 DSA. The procedure for challenging the decision is described in section 11 of these terms.
Visitors can rate ads anonymously with stars and write reviews. Reviews must be based on the reviewer's own experience and remain factual. Self-reviews, bought or mass reviews, and reviews that are insulting, infringe personal rights or contain illegal content are prohibited. We may refuse or remove reviews; like any other content, they can be reported through our reporting form.
The following is expressly prohibited on the platform:
If we suspect human trafficking or the involvement of minors, we report it to the competent authorities without delay.
(Personal) data of advertisers that is accessible through the platform may only be used to respond to the ad in question. Collecting, copying or processing this data for any other purpose – including any form of unsolicited communication (spam) and the automated extraction (scraping) of data – is prohibited. For each culpable breach of this prohibition the user owes, without further notice, a contractual penalty of €500 per breach or per day on which the breach continues, subject to the power of the court to reduce an excessive penalty. This does not affect the right of Ladies.com.cy to claim further damages and take further action.
Ladies.com.cy has a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse in the sex industry.
Abuse can be reported – anonymously if you wish:
All intellectual property rights in the platform, including software, design, logos, texts and graphics, belong to Ladies.com.cy. Nothing in these terms is intended to transfer any intellectual property right.
By publishing content on the platform, advertisers grant Ladies.com.cy a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to use that content to provide the platform's services, to process it technically (for example to resize it or convert it to other image formats) and to make it available to search engines. This licence ends when the ad is deleted.
Copying, reproducing or distributing content of the platform without prior written consent is not permitted. Nor is it permitted, without prior written consent, to extract and/or re-use substantial parts of the contents of the platform's database(s), or to repeatedly and systematically extract and/or re-use insubstantial parts of it; the database is protected under the EU Database Directive (96/9/EC) as implemented in Cypriot law.
Ladies.com.cy endeavours to operate the platform properly, but provides it “as is” and without any commitment to a particular level of availability. Ladies.com.cy is not liable for:
Should Ladies.com.cy nevertheless be liable, liability for slight negligence is limited to a maximum of €30 or, if higher, the fees paid by the user to Ladies.com.cy in the previous twelve months.
These exclusions and limitations of liability do not apply to intent or gross negligence, to personal injury, or where mandatory law (in particular EU and Cypriot consumer protection law) provides otherwise. For third-party content we are liable only to the limited extent provided for in Article 6 DSA; we have no general obligation to monitor content.
The user shall indemnify and hold Ladies.com.cy (including its officers and staff) harmless against all third-party claims, losses, damage and costs (including reasonable legal costs) arising from: (a) the user's breach of these terms; (b) content published by the user on the platform; or (c) unlawful conduct of the user towards other users or third parties.
In accordance with Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (DSA), Ladies.com.cy provides a notice-and-action mechanism for illegal content. Every ad has a “Report this ad” button that leads to the reporting form at ladies.com.cy/melden. You can also send a notice by e-mail to [email protected].
Please include the following in your notice:
Anonymous reports. If you suspect that a minor is involved, or coercion, human trafficking or exploitation, your name and e-mail address are not required. Without contact details, however, we cannot inform you of our decision.
Handling. You receive an acknowledgement of receipt with a reference number without delay. We review the notice diligently, in a non-arbitrary manner and without undue delay, and take action where necessary: hiding or removing the ad, or restricting or terminating the advertiser's account. Notices concerning minors or coercion are handled with priority. We then inform you of our decision and the reasons for it.
Removal requests from the persons concerned. If an ad, a photo or a phone number of yours appears on the platform against your wishes – for example because the ad was taken from a publicly available ad source – we remove this content at your request, free of charge and without you having to give reasons: via ladies.com.cy/melden or by e-mail to [email protected] with the link to the ad. More details are in our Privacy Policy.
Information for the advertiser. If an ad is removed, hidden or otherwise restricted, the advertiser receives a clear statement of reasons in accordance with Article 17 DSA, setting out the facts, the provision of these terms or of the law applied, and the available means of redress.
Disagree with a decision? You may challenge it within six months by writing to [email protected] and quoting your reference number; we will review the case again, and not solely by automated means. You may also contact the Digital Services Coordinator of the Republic of Cyprus or bring the matter before the competent court.
Point of contact for authorities (Article 11 DSA): [email protected], available in English and Greek. Point of contact for users (Article 12 DSA): [email protected] and the contact form; both are read by a person and are not handled solely by automated means. We comply with orders from authorities to act against illegal content and with requests for information to the extent required by law.
Repeated manifestly unfounded notices may, after a prior warning, lead to us not processing further notices from the same person for a reasonable period.
Paid options. Posting an ad is free. In addition, paid options may be offered, such as highlighted placement for a set period or bumping an ad to the top. The scope, duration and price are set out in the price list shown at the time of booking. All prices are in euros. We do not guarantee any particular commercial result of an ad (views, enquiries, bookings).
Credit and payment. Paid options are paid from the account's credit. Where this feature is enabled on the platform, credit can be topped up with cryptocurrencies via the external payment provider NOWPayments. The amount credited is the euro value confirmed by the payment provider when the payment is received; exchange rate fluctuations, network fees and incorrect payments (wrong currency, wrong network, wrong address) are beyond our control. Credit is not transferable, does not bear interest and is not paid out in cash.
No refund after activation. A booked option is activated immediately and is therefore fully or continuously performed. No refund is given after activation – even if the ad is deleted by the advertiser or removed by us for a breach of these terms (in particular section 6 or 7). If we remove a paid placement for reasons for which we are responsible, we credit the fee for the unused period to the account pro rata.
Right of withdrawal for consumers. Consumers have a right to withdraw from distance contracts for paid services within 14 days of conclusion of the contract, without giving reasons, under EU consumer law as implemented in Cyprus. You can withdraw informally, for example by e-mail to [email protected]. By booking an option you expressly request that we begin performance before the withdrawal period expires, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed; if you withdraw during a running option, you must pay for the part already provided on a pro-rata basis. For unused credit the right of withdrawal remains within the withdrawal period; refunds are made using the same means of payment used for the top-up.
The contract between the user and Ladies.com.cy is concluded for an indefinite period.
Ladies.com.cy reserves the right to amend these terms for a valid reason – for example a change in the law, new or discontinued features of the platform, or changed technical conditions. Users will be informed of material changes – including changes that significantly affect users' rights or obligations – at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect, by a notice on the platform or by e-mail; we will point out the change, the date it takes effect and the consequences of not objecting. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using the platform and delete your account. If you continue to use the platform after the change takes effect, the amended terms are deemed accepted.
If any provision of these terms is or becomes wholly or partly invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected. As regards businesses, the invalid provision is replaced by the valid provision that comes closest to its purpose; as regards consumers, the statutory provisions apply.
The personal data we process is described in our Privacy Policy. It does not form part of these terms. These terms do not constitute consent to non-essential cookies or to marketing messages.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If the user is a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive them of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of their habitual residence.
For disputes with businesses, the competent courts of the Republic of Cyprus have jurisdiction. Consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence, in accordance with mandatory EU rules.
Consumers may turn to a recognised alternative dispute resolution body. We are not obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings; we decide on participation case by case.
